The Waltzing weasel is the perfect location for walking, climbing or mountain biking holidays. Due to its fantastic location near Kinder Scout in Hayfield. The Sett Valley Trail and the Torrs.

Kinder Scout

Kinder

Kinder Scout is a high windswept upland gritstone plateau, most of which stands at around 600 metres above sea level. From Hayfield you can follow famous routes such as Jacobs ladder towards Edale which is the start of the Pennine way.

Sett Valley Trail

The Sett Valley Trail is approximately 2 mins walk from the Waltzing Weasel is two and half miles in length and used for recreational purposes by walkers, cyclists and horse riders. It follows the former track of the railway line that linked Hayfield with Manchester as far as New Mills. The route forms part of the Pennine Bridleway National Trail between Hayfield and Birch Vale and is of outstanding natural beauty.

Hayfield Village

Hayfield sits peacefully in the narrow valley of the River Sett, surrounded by some of the wildest hills in the Peak District. A visit during the May queen festivities, well dressing or Sheep dog trials (september) is well worth it.

The Torrs

The Torrs Riverside Park, deep in a gorge below the centre of New Mills, is unlike any other place. Here is where the River Sett and the River Goyt. There are ruins from old Mills to explore and the spectacular Torrs Millennium Walkway which is 125 yards in length high above the water.
